Meet BJ Johns
I’ve been around boats my entire life—since I was just 9 weeks old. I spent countless days on the water with my dad and grandfathers, learning the ropes and gaining a deep passion for fishing. Growing up with two strong grandfathers and a hardworking father, I was taught the value of working for what I want—not waiting for it to be handed to me. That work ethic has shaped everything I do.
Today, I continue to pursue my passion for fishing as a competitor in as many local tournaments as I can fit in as well as fishing some of the MLF trails. I also enjoy the laid-back lake lifestyle, whether it’s a casual boating day or a fun fishing trip with friends and family.
When I’m not on the water, I love traveling. I spend as much time as I can down around the panhandle coastline. Between my busy schedule, my work, and my family, I find balance with my girlfriend by my side, who helps keep life rewarding and keeps me grounded.
